| I do some amateur
photography, and took some pictures of a local club soccer team
(19 yo female). I swear more women break their legs playing soccer
than skiing or any other activity. I am appending three photos taken
a week apart, two at one game, one at their next. My gf plays on
this team (no she was not the lucky/unlucky one!!).
One of these lovely ladies will not be smiling in about a
half hour. Can you guess which one? My girlfriend is #32 and
she is fine. |

This girl's right leg locked when she planted her cleat. Nothing
like the feeling, or sound of your ankle breaking. I was about
20 feet away and heard it. |

Last game of the season a week later, and we have our unfortunate
player who will spend the next eight weeks in that pink cast.

Note the girl on the left, she broke her leg sliding into
a base in the second game, just got a short cast on after
like 6 weeks. Look carefully and you will see she has a toe
ring on the second toe. |

This unfortunate girl broke her leg playing softball two days
before her senior formal when another player slid into her
as she tried to block the plate late in the game. It was a
losing effort all around as the winning run scored and Jennifer
sustained a |
